hooray new boots! i tested them out on the deck earlier. spent forever on plank trainer and me feet still smile. i be mighty.
i'm about to dye my hook dark brown for kicks. don't worry, 'tis a temporary color. i'll be back to scurvy scurvy before things get boring.
it certainly is time for new icons.

One of my mateys has got the ship convinced that he's the dread pirate of
the seas and has a crew following.
I think his crew following consists of other deck swabbers who he shares
rum with.
I think I've still got people pillaging this thing who remember pillaging my
ship when it was green and had the Blackbeard's :P mug on it... before
I had even hit that infamy of being a Pirate on the Mighty Seas.
If ye be one of those mateys, let me know so I can make his face walk the
plank.
And no, Long John Silver, ye don't count.
This year, by the way, marks the 10th year of www.tigergirl.com. Even if
I don't pillage it.

also the plank. the plank is totally out to get me.
a gang of g.polly parrots have built a base by the door. i can't go outside. yes i know they are harmless and/or poisonous yet harmless, but i've been mob-attacked by them a few times. they scare the living hell out of me.
can't take it. can't wage war against them. never going on plank again.
if you mess with them, they go all out hive mentality. every g. polly in the county will come after you AND your crew. my mom tried it, hence the horrifying attack swarms when i was a poor little lad.

~ Me Journal ~
The thing I like most about LJS is the interaction with me mateys.I have to admit I am a lot closer to some of you than others, but that's to be expected. I know some of me mateys in real life and I really like all of them. Some of the scurvies I don't know, but I consider them some of me very most favorite bastards on the planet and I think that's both strange and wonderful. :) There are a few people I could do without, but I feel so bad when I have to make someone walk the plank. I have been entertaining the idea of walking the plank and starting over but it bothers me when other scurvies do that, especially if they do it over and over. Drama queen! Heheh.
I guess second to that comes the actual journaling part of it. I think the crap I write is really boring most of the time and I know I enjoy reading your entries a lot more than others enjoy mine I'm sure. But that's okay. I don't care, because it IS me journal. It's fun to look back on and remember that time in me life. I've only had this thing for two years and already I can look back and see how much I have grown and changed. Speaking of growing, the journal I keep for Yellowbeard has become something really special to me. I'm archiving it all to Pagemaker so I can keep everything. But then his life really is a lot more exciting than mine right now.
Sometimes I find meself composing journal entries when I'm away from me computer. Especially if I'm drunk or I can't sleep. This becomes a problem when I actually attempt to write what I was thinking while drunk or in a psychotic state of insomnia. I know it's best if I stay away from the computer at times like that. Arrarrarr.
~ Mateying ~
Before I add someone I read their info page and several entries deep to see if they post annoying entries. Sometimes this backfires because they just haven't posted any annoying entries *recently*.
Usually when I add someone I'll say Avast! I added you because blah blah. Not always though. If I don't get added back in a couple of days I usually drop them. Guess they didn't like me, no worries. There are only a very few people on me mateys page that have not added me back. I just really enjoy reading their entries and I don't care if they add me back or not.
If someone adds me I'll usually add them back unless I just can't find anything in common with them or their entries are annoying. (ie. very long entries about everything they did that day... I brushed me teeth and the new toothpaste is really good... or they post a lot of quizzes. ACK! I post one occassionally but I usually cut it. There's nothing worse than a mateys page full of quizzes.
~ Comments ~
I don't use email for comments. I just hit refresh on me LJ every once in a while. Every 30 seconds if I'm expecting comments, haha.
When I comment and I make a glaring typo I have to delete it and go back and comment again. That's why I HATE when other people answer their comments through email, because they reply too quickly! I don't know why I can read something in that little comment box over and over but I don't see the typo until after it hit enter. me brain is warped like that. You have probably noticed.
Lately I really only comment if I feel that I have something to contribute. I have in the past and occassionally still do - force meself to think of something to say because I want the person to know I'm paying attention to their journal. I read almost everyone on me mateys list pretty religiously even if I don't always comment. The only filters I use are one page for mateys and one page for communtities.
Once in a blue moon I can think of something I'd LIKE to say, but I don't because I don't know if it will be taken the way I meant it or whatever.
And finally... I am a comment WHORE. But then who isn't? ;) So comment bitch. Also, you get a cookie for getting this far. I promise not to post a really long entry like this again for at least a week.

I had a weird dream last night, with a cast of seeming thousands. Me, Blackbeard, Lars the Rough, Peggy, all our crews, One Eyed Willie & co., some of my sailors, a couple of mateys that I throw swordfish with, and something about DREAD Army. I'm not making this up.
Weird.
